Basketball is a tough game, especially when you slam your head into the floor like Sacramento Kings’ Aaron Brooks did last night.
With flying elbows and seven-foot behemoths, professional basketball in the United States is a tough sport. Okay, it’s not American Football or rugby but it still requires a certain ability to roll with the punches and get on with it.
Yes, the NBA have their version of diving (called flopping) but if you ever needed proof of how they take a knock in the sport, check out what happened to Aaron Brooks last night.
The Sacramento Kings player got into a tussle with Chicago Bulls Kirk Hinrich. Both players fell to the floor but Brooks had his head slammed into the hardwood floor in the battle for the ball.
The end result was a chipped tooth for Brooks but he hopped up and ran off the court while the team doctor kindly went out to find it and retrieve it for Brooks’ dentist.
Brooks wasn’t bleeding so he went back in the game immediately but unfortunately the Kings eventually lost the game.
Tough night for Aaron all round.
