The new Nokia Lumia 800 phone has been heralded in some possibly over-ambitious quarters as the handset that will singlehandedly help Nokia and Windows Phone compete with the smartphone mega-players of Apple and Android.
Anyone who’s played around with it will know that while the Windows Phone OS may take a bit of getting accustomed to – especially if you’ve been ingrained to the Apple or Android way of doing things – the overall feel is generally a satisfying one.
The ease and integration of the various social media apps within Windows Phone is one of its most convincing assets, and the Seesmic Ping app could take that to a whole new level by allowing multiple updates across various social media platforms
And unlike something like Tweetdeck – which allows you to update Facebook, Twitter and more but leaves a telltale trail of the third-party software you’ve used – the Seesmic Ping updates seamlessly as if the post had been generated natively.
