Putting his head where most wouldn’t etc…
Hull might have bounced out of the Capital One Cup last night, 3-2 at the hands of West Brom, but at least the game produced one of the most Paul McShane-y moments of the season from the man himself.
The Wicklow native spotted a ball on its way to West Brom front man Georgios Samaras and rather than stick a leg out to block it, McShane dived full length, head first, just nicking the ball off the Greek striker’s foot.
Whatever you may think about his class as a centre-half, there are few braver or more committed players in the league.
