Cork and Clare will renew rivalries yet again this Saturday and the support from the Banner shows no sign of wavering.
After looking in control for the majority of the contest nearly three weeks ago, Davy Fitzgerald’s men came within a whisker of losing the final in dramatic circumstances before corner-back Domhnall O’Donovan picked the perfect time from a Clare perspective to knock over his first ever championship point.
Micheal O Thailtigh has put together this video, taking inspiration from the finals of 1995 and 1997, as well as the game the last time out, with commentary from commentary from both RTE and Clare FM to add to the sense of occasion.
We won’t have long to wait to see whether Clare can back up their performance last time out and claim their third Liam McCarthy or whether Jimmy-Barry Murphy can work his magic yet again with the Rebels.
