We believe the appropriate term is ‘unbelievable tekkers’…

Anyone who has watched the opening few weeks of the Premier League can’t help but be impressed by the form of Swansea City playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson.

His 6 assists are probably the main reason why Garry Monk’s men are sitting 5th in the league table right now and it’s clear that Sigurdsson has carried his brilliant club form into the international front.

The player was at his best yet again as a resurgent Iceland took a massive early step towards Euro ’16 qualification with a 2-0 win over the Netherlands.

Iceland are definitely an up and coming force in European football, they lost out to Croatia in the World Cup play-offs, but they’ve taken an early stranglehold of Group A after last night’s result.

Sigurdsson opened the scoring against the Dutch with a well taken penalty after 10 mins but his second just before half-time was even better.

Take a look at his footwork to readjust his feet instantly, the power generated on the volley and his technique to get over the ball and hammer it into the roof of the net.

Superb.
