Met Éireann has pinpointed exactly when the hot weather is set to return as heavy rain is on its way.
April started off with some glorious weather, warranting sea swims and outside pints, however it’s looking like that will be coming to an end very soon.
This week is expected to be cooler and wetter, with Wednesday bringing rather cloudy, showery conditions.
Thursday will see a mix of conditions and Friday is set to bring widespread rain.
Five counties in Northern Ireland have been issued yellow weather warnings ahead of the expectations of heavy downpour.
But in better news, Met Éireann have looked ahead to tell us when we can expect the sunshine's return.
For the period between Monday, April 28 and Sunday, May 4 they said: “A slight signal for high pressure looks to be the most dominant weather pattern for the week.
“This will likely lead to temperatures trending above average for the time of year, however the signal for precipitation amounts looks to be mixed over the northern half of the country but drier than normal further south.”
We'll take it!
