Jack Wilshere’s parents take part in BBC Radio Q and A; Wilshere hijacks it with question about his underpants

No self-respecting son or daughter would ever pass up the opportunity to embarrass their parents in public, just like Jack Wilshere did to his own folks a little earlier today.

No self-respecting son or daughter would ever pass up the opportunity to embarrass their parents in public, just like Jack Wilshere did to his own folks a little earlier today.

Wilshere’s parents, Andrew and Kerry, were invited onto the BBC Radio Five Live Breakfast Show this morning for a bit of a chinwag and before they went on, a tweet was sent by the official Five Live account inviting questions for the parents of the Arsenal and England midfielder.

Normally when such an invite is extended on Twitter, you would expect a certain amount of piss-taking from members of the Twittersphere and this time it was Wilshere himself who obliged, asking a question about the washing and his need for clean slips – underwear – in time for tomorrow’s game against Fulham.

If the Gunners play anything like they did against Aston Villa last weekend, Wilshere may be in need of another pair before the final whistle goes.
