Recently, we featured an incredibly creative cover of ‘Blurred Lines’ by Robin Thicke as performed by the Irish artist Brian Deady. Well, Deady is back once again with his version of the 90’s classic ‘Return of the Mack’. It’s fantastic.

Brian Deady of Cork has certainly been making a name for himself following a Late Late Show performance of his new single ‘Lightning & Thunder’ a few weeks back and now the singer songwriter is gearing up to play at the KC Show’s first birthday party this coming Thursday in Copper Face Jacks. More info about that here.

Deady will be performing his ‘Nu-Wop’ version of ‘Return Of the Mack’ for KC’s first birthday show, but you can have a sneaky listen to the track via SoundCloud below. Seriously, it’s worth the listen. Deady recorded the entire track in his gaff by himself …

Deady’s version of ‘Blurred Lines’ notched up over 20,000 views in its first week alone and the disco funk legend that is Nile Rodgers has previously said the Corkman is “becoming his favourite Irish act”. Nice

If you’re a fan of soulful classic tunes with a modern doo-wop twist then make sure to check out Deady’s other tracks on SoundCloud. There’s everything from Daft Punk’s ‘Give Life Back to Music’ to Warren Zevon’s ‘Werewolves of London’, so there’s something in there for everyone to enjoy.

You can check out Deady’s brand new single ‘Lightning & Thunder’ in the video below and you can find out more about his work over on Facebook, Twitter and on BrianDeady.com.

Deady and his band also recorded an impromptu version of Blackstreet’s ‘No Diggity’ while backstage at the Late Late Show. Check it out below…
