Bit of a teeth-rattler, this one…
We don’t know how Karl Stollery of the Lake Erie Monsters is spending Thanksgiving today, but we hope he has no problem keeping his food down after he was on the end of a positively bone-shuddering hit by Darren Archibald of the Utica Comets on Tuesday night.
With his back to the play, Stollery had no idea what was coming as just as he turned around, Archibald caught him with a textbook body check, which was so forceful that Stollery actually did an inadvertent somersault and the crowd audibly gasped for a brief second before realising that this is ice-hockey after all and physical pain is all part of the package.
Ouch.
