The former Birmingham winger is returning to the League of Ireland
Keith Fahey is returning to the League of Ireland in time for the new season, and he will be rejoining his old club St Patrick’s Athletic, as announced by the team on their Twitter page today.

In a statement on the club’s website, Fahey said that he turned down other offers which were more financially lucrative to return to the League of Ireland and join St Pat’s again:
I was offered various deals from other clubs and ones which were financially a lot better, but I’ve come back here because of the great loyalty I’ve always received. Both the fans and the club have always been great to me, and the stability of the club behind the scenes really made me want to come back and play my football in Inchicore again
The signing will come as great news to Pats fans, but it’s also great to see a high profile player returning to the League with something still left to give, as Fahey only turns 31 in January. The club expect that he will make his debut in the Setanta Cup against Ballinamallard United on 24th February, 2014.
