As sports fans we often like to give out a lot about the various people that are involved in them, but we’ve seen plenty examples of late of how sporting institutions can have positive effect on the many fans that follow their fortunes on a regular basis.

The latest example of this is an incredibly touching, heartfelt and emotional tribute video made by the WWE in honour of Connor ‘The Crusher Michalek’, a young WWE superfan who passed away last month of brain cancer shortly after he was given special access to a host of WWE stars, including Daniel Bryan (who Connor managed to tap out), Triple H, AJ Lee and Stephanie McMahon thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The impact that Connor had on everyone he encountered in the WWE is evident in the video above, while you will genuinely be holding back the tears when watching his reunion with Daniel Bryan in an incredibly emotional meeting ringside at Wrestlemania XXX.

We are in no way exaggerating when we say that this is probably the most we’ve been affected by a sports-related video in some time and whether you’re a sports fan or not, it is hard not to be moved by Connor’s personality and the kindness shown to him by all of the WWE Superstars he met, on whom he made such an impact in such a short space of time.

Fair play to the WWE for such an incredible gesture to one of its biggest fans and to his family; it’s an outstanding and very fitting tribute to his memory.
