Amid all the dedication, excitement and nerves involved in horse racing or showjumping, there’s always a huge element of risk and danger around every fence.
No one wants to see a horse fall over a hurdle or a jockey painfully hit the ground which is what happened in Clonshire equestrian centre, Co Limerick.
JOE reader Laurence Fennell was on the first horse that managed to scale the jump but the riders behind him weren’t so lucky.
Laurence tells us that everyone involved in the race is fine but it looked like a nasty fall.
