Eric Lalor

The 1975

The best of the live music gigs around the country this week.

Who: Battles
Date: March 22
Where: The Button Factory, Dublin

This New York band are described as an electronic rock band so they must have a synthesizer or something to accompany the guitars and drums.

Regardless of their equipment, they have a great reputation for their live performances, so make sure you catch them in the Button Factory for this gig.

Indie pop darlings The 1975 come to Dublin to spread their guitar-riffed melodies around this dirty old town.

They’ve only released two albums, but both have been huge sellers and they have an army of fans. Go and see what the fuss is all about.

Amercian a cappella group Straight No Chaser came to the world’s attention a few years ago when their version of ’12 Days of Christmas’ went viral on YouTube and was viewed 18 million times. It led to a five album record deal with Atlantic Records.
