David Bowie’s hair is up for auction at a hefty price

The auction will take place on Saturday.

The auction, which will include the sale of a lock of David Bowies hair, will be held in Beverly Hills.

According to Heritage Auctions, the lock of hair currently belongs to a former employee of Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

In 1983, when a wax figure was being made of Bowie, Wendy Farrier cut off some of his hair in order to replicate the colour for the wax sculpture’s wig.

After the wax figure was made, Farrier, who was a huge Bowie fan, kept the lock of hair as a souvenir.

Heritage Auctions are reportedly expecting to auction the item off for over $4000.
