Gourmet Food Parlour to create 100 jobs with two new restaurants in Dublin and Galway

Good news for Galway foodies.

Multi-cuisine eatery Gourmet Food Parlour has announced that they will be creating 100 jobs with two new ventures planned for Dublin and Galway.

The people behind the brunch, lunch and tapas restaurants are looking to hire for a number of positions for their two new premises in Salthill and Skerries.

Both businesses together are set to create 100 jobs.

The duo behind the Gourmet Food Parlour business is Lorraine Heskin and Lorraine Byrne, who set up the in brand in 2006. The two women boast eight locations across Dublin, employing over 240 staff.

Including their new Skerries location, Heskin and Byrne also run premises in Dún Laoghaire, Swords, Malahide, Swords Business Park, Santry, 37 Dawson Street and House Dublin.

The Salthill branch will be their first location outside of Dublin.

According to the website, their new location will be “sitting just west of Galway city in the bustling townland of Salthill, looking over Galway Bay.”

The new endeavour will require the recruitment of head chefs, sous chefs, chef de parties, front of house staff, baristas, bar staff, catering kitchen staff and event specialists.

GFP is the official nutritional partners with the Dublin GAA County Board. As well as this, they provide catering to industry giants such as AIG, Google, Irish Ferries and The Special Olympics.

“The new locations in Skerries and Galway offer an exceptionally exciting time for us, with Galway, our first location outside of Dublin already creating a lot of excitement locally.”
