Joe Biden election

While it is still not confirmed, a Joe Biden victory is looking more and more likely as the hours pass.

Joe Biden has predicted that he will win the US election by a “clear” margin, despite it not being officially confirmed yet.

An announcement is expected to take place at some point today, while Biden remains optimistic that it will be a comfortable victory for himself and running mate Kamala Harris.

Speaking from Delaware, he said: “The numbers tell us… it’s a clear and convincing story. We’re going to win this race.”

He continued: “I know tensions can be high after a tough election like we just had.

“But we need to remain calm. Patient. And let the process work out as we count all the votes.

“We may be opponents, but we’re not enemies. We’re Americans.”

This speech was originally planned to be a victory speech, but due to the amount of time it has taken for mail-in votes to be counted, Biden refrained from officially declaring himself the winner.

Meanwhile, Trump is continuing to threaten legal action, with one of his most recent tweets saying: “I had such a big lead in all of these states late into election night, only to see the leads miraculously disappear as the days went by.

“Perhaps these leads will return as our legal proceedings move forward!”
