We now know when the bloody superhero satire returns.
Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the premiere date for the third season of its hit adult superhero series The Boys.
In a short teaser giving fans a first look at the new season, the streamer revealed that the show would be returning to screens on Friday, 3 June.
According to Deadline, as with previous seasons, the series will be back with a three-episode premiere with the following episodes to be released weekly.
For those unaware, The Boys takes place in a universe where superpowered individuals are recognised as heroes, though behind closed doors many are corrupt, including the secretly sadistic Homelander (Antony Starr).
The show follows a team of vigilantes, including grizzled leader Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and young rookie Hughie (Jack Quaid), who aim to take down so-called superheroes who abuse their power.
Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the subversive, darkly comic and violent show has been a hit with both critics and fans to the extent that Amazon has ordered a spin-off of the programme.
