You should choo-choo-choose this movie tonight.
Another Wednesday, another weather warning.
If you were planning on heading out tonight, we’d have to encourage you to cancel.
But just because you’re staying in doesn’t mean you can’t have fun.
And there’s nothing better on a cold, wet night than a movie.
Here’s JOE’s top picks for all the films on TV tonight.
The Bourne Supremacy – ITV4 – 9pm
The second entry in a franchise that only got better and better with each edition.
(Apart from the last one – Ed note).
Venom – Film4 – 9pm
Come for Tom Hardy’s accent, stay for the Eminem track at the end.
Flatliners – Great! Movies – 9pm
Like Final Destination, but for millennials.
Get Him To The Greek – Comedy Central – 10pm
Did you know this was a Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off?
Diamond Dogs – Great! Movies Action – 10.50pm
Neither a David Bowie film nor a Metal Gear Solid 5 reference, but a direct-to-DVD action flick starring Dolph Lundgren.
Snowpiercer – Film4 – 11.10pm
Our top pick for tonight is an excellent thriller from Bong Joon Ho, years before he went on to direct the Oscar-winning Parasite.
What’s left of the human population are passengers of Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe.
A class system emerges, and a rebel leader (Chris Evans) seeks to make his way to the front of the train to distribute the wealth among the masses.
A great story, some great acting, and an ending you won’t expect. Well worth a viewing.
Carlito’s Way – ITV4 – 11.15pm
Scarface director Brian De Palma and Al Pacino team up again for another crime thriller.
Deep Blue Sea – Turner Classic Movies – 11.35pm
What if sharks… but smart?
