Baba Vanga’s concerning predictions for 2024 have already come true

The ‘Nostradamus of the Balkans’ has had another prediction proven right.

If you aren’t already familiar with the legendary Bulgarian mystic who is credited with correctly predicting some of modern history’s biggest events, then allow us to introduce you to Baba Vanga.

Real name Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, Baba Vanga was a blind clairvoyant who, since her childhood in the 1910’s, was able to feel inclinations about upcoming events and to predict outcomes many years ahead of time.

In the mid-20th century, Baba Vanga rose to prominence thanks to her correct predictions of the break up of the Soviet Union, Joseph Stalin’s death, the September 11th attacks, as well as the year and cause of her own death.

From 9/11 to the Chernobyl disaster, Covid to Princess Diana’s death, Baba Vanga saw them all coming a mile off.

And while the reputed seer died a few years ago, her followers have said there are plenty of rather terrifying predictions for 2024 that she made prior to her passing.

From the possibility of biological attacks to an enormous economic crash, Baba Vanga didn’t necessarily fill people with optimism about this current year.

One of her most noticeable predictions for 2024, was an assassination attempt on Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Baba not only predicted that there would be an attempt on the Russian leader’s life, she doubled down by suggesting that the attempt would be carried out by someone from his own country.

Worth remembering that according to Baba, the attempt will be unsuccessful, so maybe Putin has a few more years left yet.

Another warning delivered by the now-deceased clairvoyant was that Europe would see an increase in terrorist attacks by extremists in the year 2024. She rather unhelpfully didn’t specify which European country (or countries) would face the terrorist threat.

In March, attackers targeted Moscow’s Crocus City Hall which killed 110 people, including children. The attack prompted Geman Interior Minister Nancy Faeser to warn football fans to be on “high alert” ahead of the Euros this summer.

Vanga predicted a huge economic crisis for this year. She put the crisis down to a number of issues, including rising debt levels, increasing geopolitical tensions, and economic power shifting from the West to the East.

The UK and Japan are currently facing financial hardship, according to data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) in February. The Yen is at an all-time low, 151.97 against the US dollar. Japan has also slipped to fourth place in global rankings and has been overtaken by Germany.

Perhaps her most impressive and outlandish prognosis was that we would see a quantum computing revolution this year.

Simply, quantum computers use quantum mechanics to increase decision-making capabilities at a previously impossible scale. The power of this technology has huge implications for privacy, national security and financial stability as the capabilities of these computers could be turned towards national secrets, personal information or market data.

Cyber attacks are worryingly becoming the norm with major companies and supermarkets having already experienced hacking this year alone. The psychic claimed that hackers are going to become more sophisticated in their methods and start targeting infrastructure.

Lastly, another of Vanga’s forecasts that can be deemed correct is her claim that several medical breakthroughs would occur during this calendar year.

New treatments are currently being advanced for Alzheimer’s and cancer, and researchers are currently looking into trials for a vaccine that could potentially protect future generations from Alzheimer’s.

In addition, scientists have discovered a new drug for aggressive forms of cancer, which reportedly “quadrupled’ three-year survival rates.

And there you have it. It can be argued that the renowned soothsayer pretty much nailed 2024.

It’s worth mentioning that Baba Vanga hasn’t always been bang on about her predictions. She’s missed the mark on quite a few of her musings. It is reported though that she predicted the date of her own death: 11 August 1996. So perhaps we should be mindful after all.

If only she was still with us so I could ask her who to back for the Grand National this weekend.
