Astronaut Chris Hadfield has a brilliantly optimistic message for you in 2015

Wise words from the wise man...

Wise words from the wise man…

It’s that time of the year when you’re approaching the end of your turkey supply, you’re nearing the end of your eighth tin tub of Roses, and you’ve definitely reached the end of your tether when it comes to dealing with annoying relatives.

You’re probably already looking forward to what 2015 has in store and you’ll no doubt be drafting up your list of New Year’s resolutions… you know, that list which you will 100%, categorically, NOT stick to in any way whatsoever.

Admit it, you know we’re right.

One man, however, who wants us all to be much more positive in 2015 is Ireland’s own adopted astronaut (we’ve got the paperwork to prove he’s ours), Commander Chris Hadfield.

Our advice is to ignore the fact that he’s photobombing unsuspecting friends, stealing a man’s book, and potentially posing a health and safety risk by removing a coffe cup mid-pour and, instead, focus on the brilliantly inspiring message which was filmed in the superb Filmbase in Temple Bar, Dublin.

As Chris (that’s right, first name terms) says himself…

“Our world is not as bad a place as we often feel it to be. It is easy to look to the future and lament on how far there is left to go, but sometimes it is helpful to stop and reflect on just how far we’ve come.

This New Years, my resolution is to help make our world a better place. What’s yours?”
