Ever try any of these?
Ireland has always boasted a wealth of fresh, nutritious food that organic producers the world over are extremely jealous of. Pair that with a healthy interest in food and a growing respect for the culinary arts, it’s no wonder that the country, collectively, is well-versed when it comes to a cracking meal.
One place in which this hasn’t gone unnoticed is Food & Wine, whose awards – set to take place in September – aim to honour the best of the best when it comes to top quality food in Ireland.
In preparation for the competition itself, a list of ten restaurants from each province and also Dublin have been compiled, highlighting the best of the best.
“From local restaurants serving farm-to-fork produce to the most romantic places across the country, our awards recognise the exciting and diverse culinary scene in Ireland,” Food & Wine says.
Judging has already taken place, allowing the team to put forward the best 50 restaurants in five categories – Leinster, Ulster, Munster, Connacht and Dublin – with the winner of each category set to be revealed on the night.
