This year has been another memorable one for Irish radio as every facet of our cultural, political and sporting landscape has been covered on the national airwaves. Events like Euro 2016, the December flooding and the tragedy in Buncrana were all expertly handled by Irish broadcasters but as is the norm, international affairs also received plenty of attention. The horrendous terror attacks in Paris, Brexit and the US presidential campaign have kept newsrooms very busy. The PPI Radio Awards honour the best in Irish radio and here are the nominees.
