Here’s what you SHOULDN’T order at Subway, according to a Subway employee

Carl Kinsella

This is a must-read for anybody who’s partial to a footlong.

A Subway employee from the UK has taken to Twitter for a Q&A session, and revealed exactly what items to avoid on their menu.

The goods news is that the employee specifies that Subway (or his own Subway, at least) is “very strict on quality control and dates”. Nevertheless, “SubwayWorkerUK” advised that customers stay away from two sandwiches in particular.

When asked what to avoid, the Subway worker said “Chipotle Chicken & Teriyaki Chicken”, and explained that “Chicken is given a two day shelf life, once in the counter. However these two bypass this and get four days, and can get a little stinky.”

On the flip-side, the worker said that steak meat is probably the freshest and safest meat to order in your Subway sandwich.

However, despite saying that Chipotle Chicken is one to avoid, the worker also listed that same sandwich in his four best bang-for-your-buck sandwiches – a list which also included Meat Marinara, Spicy Italian BLT and Tikka Chicken.
