Everyone has had this thought process at some point.
Monkeys are cute and ever since Ross in Friends had a pet monkey most people will have dreamed of owning a similar critter to pass away the days with.
But for one young man, this dream is being put into action…
Author David Hughes has started a Gofundme page to help fulfill his life long ambition to buy a monkey to live in his huge house.
Mr Hughes has written the following message in an attempt to persuade the public to part with their hard earned cash to help fund his monkey dreams.
‘Hi. Do you like me? Have I ever made you laugh? Well, I need $10,000 to buy a monkey.
I’m asking for your help to get my family a pet monkey. Right now we have domestic dogs & to be honest they are boring as shit.
My fiancé & I live together in a huge house, more than enough room for a monkey. Honestly, you should see this place. We could have 10 monkeys and you wouldn’t walk in and be like, “Whoa, they must have like 10 monkeys.” You’d look around and be like, “Do these guys even have pets? I can’t see any sign of animals ever having been here.” Because the house is massive and we have a cleaner. We are happy here. We have made a life here. We are able to pay our rent. It’s easy. We just, you know, we don’t have a monkey. So please, donate generously so that I can use your money and not my own’
The campaign has raised an impressive $93 dollars in 8 days which isn’t bad considering the man lives in a house big enough for ten monkeys and he even has a cleaner.
Sounds like he is doing just fine financially…
We’ll keep an eye on this guy and see how it gets on with his monkey business.
