PIC: Gentleman Bus Éireann driver in Cork hops off to help an elderly lady

What an absolute champ.

This is the kind of thing we love to see.

Clara O’Brien was on a bus in Cork when the driver stopped to let an old lady disembark.

When she almost tripped he noticed that one of her shoelaces was undone, and given her frailty he decided to help her out.

The driver’s name is William Harris. His sister noticed Clara’s post and wrote the following comment…

“Yes, he is from Cork, he is my brother and his name is William. He loves his job and he always respects everyone who gets on his bus. He was brought up to be kind, respect your elders, open doors, and most of all give up your seat to anyone older then you.

“Our parents taught us well, he was a bus driver for year on the 202 to Gurranebraher and when he was changed to the other bus the people in Gurranebraher missed him.”
