PICS: Ireland’s first ever meatball restaurant is about to open in Cork

The Rebel County will be the first Irish home to some spicy meatballs.

Irish couple Grainne Holland and Tony Costello are to open Ireland’s first meatball restaurant – The Meatball Place – in Cork this week.

The young entrepreneurs will set up shop on Carey’s Lane in Cork city centre, will all the ingredients sourced locally.

The pair know their food, with Grainne having trained in the world famous Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork.

Speaking ahead of the opening, Grainne and Tony have said:

The Meatball Place is open seven days a week, from 12noon to 10pm daily, with the grand opening on Wednesday, November 18.
