Sundays are couch days and don’t let nobody tell you any different!
Today is a good day to either go to the cinema (and if you are, then you need to read THIS), or sit on the couch.
Either way, movies are involved. These are the best of the bunch that are on the telly today.
SUNDAY 14 OCTOBER
The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers – ITV2 – 6.25pm
The middle third of a long walk.
Turner & Hooch – Film Four – 7.00pm
Tom Hanks is the ADD/OCD/extremely anal cop who is paired with a slobbering mess of a dog following his owner’s death, but he soon realises that the dog may actually be the key to solving a murder.
The Fugitive – TCM – 9.00pm
Harrison Ford didn’t kill his wife. Tommy Lee Jones doesn’t care.
Beverly Hills Cop II – Universal TV – 9.00pm
Eddie Murphy is the streetwise cop who returns to Beverly Hills to solve a case of master thieves. The type of very entertaining action comedy that they just don’t seem to make anymore.
The Snapper – Virgin Media One – 9.00pm
“I suppose a ride’s out of the question?”
Starship Troopers – Syfy – 11.00pm
“The only good bug is a dead bug!”
Unknown – ITV4 – 11.20pm
Liam Neeson wakes up with amensia. But it turns out he might be forgetting that he has a particular set of skills… so basically this is Taken with amnesia, which is basically… The Bourne Identity with Liam Neeson?
The Fault In Our Stars – Channel 4 – 11.35pm
Two teenagers, both with forms of cancer, fall in love. Bring ALL of the tissues. You’ll need them.
LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
