We love to see it.

Ireland has received several nominations in various categories at this year’s BAFTA Film Awards.

Barry Keoghan and Cillian Murphy will compete against each other in the Leading Actor category for their performances in Saltburn and Oppenheimer.

As well as this, Paul Mescal scored a Supporting Actor nom for his role in All of Us Strangers. His co-star in the romantic drama, Irish actor Andrew Scott, was surprisingly snubbed in the Leading Actor category.

In terms of the Best Film nominees, Poor Things is one of the contenders – which was co-produced by Irish company Element Pictures.

Irish cinematographer Robbie Ryan also earned a Best Cinematography nomination for his work on Poor Things, while Irish producers Medb Riordan and Shirley O’Connor were nominated alongside their movie Earth Mama in the Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer category.
