Here are the best movies on TV this evening

Stephen Porzio

Tuesday night viewing.

On a cold wet night like this, why not spend the evening on the sofa watching one of the entertainment offerings below?

Daredevil – Comedy Central – 9pm

An early much-maligned entry in the now dominant superhero film genre. While certainly inferior to the later Netflix series, it does boast an incredibly fun turn from our own Colin Farrell at his most bald.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure – Film Four – 9pm

The third and final entry in the YA franchise.

Contagion – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm

Steven Soderbergh’s starry and prescient pandemic thriller is either the worst film to watch given current circumstances or the best.

Rush Hour – ITV 4 – 10.30pm

A loyal and dedicated Hong Kong Inspector (Jackie Chan) is forced to team up with a reckless and loudmouthed L.A.P.D. detective (Chris Tucker) to solve a crime in this buddy action comedy.

Dodgeball – Film 4 – 11.40pm

Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn headline one of the silliest but funniest films of the 21st century. “Effin’ A, Cotton.”

The Look of Love – Film 4 – 1.30am

For fans of The Trip series and 24 Hour Party People, actor Steve Coogan and director Michael Winterbottom teamed up here too for this underrated biopic about English strip-club owner and publisher of pornography Paul Raymond.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
