Movies on TV

It’s Wednesday.

We’ve made it to Wednesday and you know what, things aren’t looking all that bad.

Monday brought promising news of a potential Covid-19 vaccine in the near future and while we are having a hard time getting past the true horror of the Irish accents in Wild Mountain Thyme, it has given us something to talk about.

Talk about a lot, actually.

A lot, a lot.

But anyway, here are the best movies on TV this evening.

Commando – Film4 – 9pm

Arnie is out for revenge as his daughter is kidnapped.

Film features him killing many, many men.

The Leisure Seeker – RTÉ One – 9.35pm

Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren embark on one last unforgettable road trip after they discover they have fatal illnesses.

A mixed bag from critics.

Inception – ITV2 – 10pm

People sleep and dream a lot.

Starsky and Hutch – ITV4 – 10pm

Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Snoop Dogg, Vince Vaughn and Juliette Lewis star in a remake/spoof of the popular 1970s comedy show.

The Commuter – Channel 5 – 10.40pm

After Taken, Liam Neeson’s career veered widely towards action movies.

The Commuter is, essentially, Neeson being an action star on a train.

Red Heat – Film4 – 10.45pm

A buddy cop movie which sees Arnold Schwarzenegger teaming up with an arrogant detective to take down a drug ring.

Plus, Arnie’s character name is Ivan Darko.
