Erin’s official diary is going to be a must-buy for any Derry Girls fans out there.

Because of Covid-19, it’s going to be a while until we get new episodes of Derry Girls.

And while we still have the first two seasons to rewatch over and over again, we’re craving some new content from our favourite group of gals from up north.

Luckily, show creator Lisa McGee has answered our prayers, as she has written a diary from the perspective of Erin from the show.

Fans of the show will know that Erin is an avid writer in her diary, and holds it very close to her heart (when Orla doesn’t have her hands on it), so we’re looking forward to getting stuck into it.

Speaking to Stylist about the book, McGee said: “I’m thrilled to be able to share our first ever official Derry Girls Book with the world. Erin’s Diary was such a joy to write. I loved spending time with these characters again.

“The book will reveal some new information about old events as well as some brand new antics from Erin and the gang – hopefully it will keep fans laughing until series three hits the screen.”

Here’s Erin introducing the official diary, which will be released on 12 November.
