It’s very hard to pick a favourite character from Derry Girls.
It’s such a masterpiece that every single character has a strong case for the title of best in the show.
So we’re not going to do the impossible and try to rank the characters, but instead we’ll just enjoy paying tribute to one of the best the show has to offer.
Sister Michael, the nun who just can’t be arsed dealing with the rest of the characters’ nonsense is so loved by the fans that there has even been calls for her to get her own spin-off in the past.
Siobhán McSweeney’s portrayal of the character is spectacular, treating the Derry Girls like absolute shite throughout the entirety of the two seasons, but somehow making the audience believe that she does slightly care about the girls at the same time.
Netflix have recently released a four minute video of Sister Michael being absolutely hilarious, so we won’t keep you any longer.
