A new season, but Donncha is back to try defend his crown.
OK, we’re big fans of Ireland’s Fittest Family. It’s peak Irish television and the emotions on show in each episode make it worth the watch alone.
But just incase you’re not sure what it is, Ireland’s Fittest Family is a TV series where families from across Ireland compete in different adventure races and fitness competitions in an effort to win €15,000 and earn the title of ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’.
In the first episode of the new season, 20 families battled it out to try and earn a spot in the next round.
Following a run on the beach while tied together which was called “The Battle of the Beach.”
Four families made it through to the next round, then the remaining families were forced to take on the Vertigo Challenge on top of the Irish Life Centre.
While we’re not sure what exactly collecting flags while walking on a plank suspended high above the ground has to do with fitness, but there’s no doubting the entertainment value.
Donncha O’Callaghan was particularly good value on the show, which a lot of people were talking about online.
