One of the most entertaining quiz shows is finally back this week!
Initially launched in 1996 and running for an astounding 27 seasons (so far!), Never Mind The Buzzcocks is back with a bang this week after being painfully missed for a number of years.
Bringing in some of the biggest names in comedy and music as hosts and guests, the show has been as famous for the moments of hide-behind-your-cushion cringe as it is for the scenes of pure comedic genius.
The new series of Never Mind The Buzzcocks kicks off on Tuesday, 21 September, available to watch with your NOW Entertainment Pass.
To celebrate the return of the much-loved music quiz show, we’ve put together this countdown of the five most unforgettable moments during Buzzcocks’ previous series, and we have high hopes that scenes from the new season will be added to this list before long.
HUEY HAS A MELTDOWN
The Fun Lovin’ Criminals star seems more than a little bit fed up even before the Lyrics Round begins properly, with the hosts Rizzle Kicks trying to keep it light and fun before realising that Huey’s mood might be too far gone to properly salvage. And there goes the mug.

ED SHEERAN PASSING OUT DURING SEX
TMI. Too. Much. Information. No thank you, Ed. Host Richard Ayoade initially seems to have some fun with Sheeran’s moment of oversharing, but when it seems like Ed is only too happy to continue revealing personal details, then the cringe factor begins to multiply out of the control.

PRESTON TAKES A WALK
Arguably the most famous moment in NMTB history, the Ordinary Boys frontman doesn’t react well when the host starts to read passages from Preston’s spouse’s (at the time) autobiography. It is not the first time that someone has walked off the Buzzcocks set, but only made all the more memorable when they replaced Preston with a random member of the audience.

DAVINA MCCALL GOES IN
Simon Amstell is pretty famous for his caustic reads on any and all guests on the show, so it took something – and someone – special to bring him down. Enter Davina McCall, armed with some footage of a 12-year-old Simon doing his best Dame Edna impression.
