On the other hand, we’d like to point out that Leinster v Munster, the FA Cup Final, countless hurling and football matches, the League of Ireland, The Blues Brothers, The Damned United, Jurassic World and The Raid are also on this weekend for your enjoyment.

Another event that’s competing with the Royal Wedding for attention this weekend is the return of Frankie Boyle’s show, New World Order, on BBC2.
As always, the show features Boyle at his brilliant best, doing stand-up, review and discussion as he tackles the biggest issues troubling the planet. Over the series, Frankie makes a string of bold and often outrageous statements which he then picks apart with the help of Sara Pascoe, Katherine Ryan, Mona Chalabi and a variety of other guests, including comics and experts.
Well, it’s clear that he has the Royal Wedding in his sights after this teaser was released.
To be fair, it’s hard to argue with his logic.
