One of the best sci-fi shows of the 2020s returns with new season tonight

The show holds a very impressive 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Accessible through NOW and Sky One, the series From has returned for its fourth batch of episodes. It is set in a nightmarish United States town that traps all who enter.

The sci-fi horror show begins with the married couple, Ethan and Julie Matthews (Eion Bailey and Catalina Sandino Moreno), arriving in the mysterious "Township" after taking a detour while on a cross-country trip with their kids. Every time the family drive away from the town, they wind up back there, inexplicably going around in circles.

Realising they can't escape, the Matthews meet Boyd (Harold Perrineau, Lost), the sheriff of The Township. He tells them that all of its residents are people who similarly became stranded there.

He also explains that lurking in the forests that surround the area are intelligent, shape-shifting creatures that hunt and kill at night.

The series follows the Matthews as they adjust to their sinister new surroundings, as well as The Township's other residents who fight to retain a sense of normalcy, while searching for an escape.

Created by John Griffin (The Twilight Zone), From is mostly directed by Jack Bender, the main filmmaker on the hit shows Lost, Mr Mercedes and The Institute.

Earning comparisons to Stephen King, the sci-fi horror show has amassed a major cult following since its premiere in 2022. This is thanks to its continuously creepy atmosphere, its clever puzzle box story, its nightmarishly memorable set-pieces, and its lead performance by Perrineau.

From S4 will drop this week, with NOW teasing: "In season four, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes."

Even better, the series has already been renewed for a fifth and final season, meaning fans most likely will get answers to its ongoing mysteries.

Where to watch From season 4 in the UK and Ireland?

Season four of From will launch on Sky One tonight/tomorrow morning at 2am, with two episodes. They will be replayed the following night on the same channel at 9pm.

After their TV premiere, the episodes will be added to the service NOW, with subsequent episodes being released weekly.
