Graham Norton Late Late line up

Ed Sheeran, Star Wars and quite a bit more.

On the third last Friday of 2017, the talk show circuit is beginning to wind down, with tonight marking the very last Late Late Show of 2017.

As you’ll see below, a pretty decent line-up has been put together to mark the occasion, while over on Graham Norton, it’s all about one thing and one thing only: STAR WARS.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One as usual at 9.35pm, with the Graham Norton Show going out at 10.35pm on BBC One and 11.05pm on BBC Northern Ireland.

The Late Late Show

  • Ed Sheeran. As is evident in his ability to sell out numerous concerts in no time, Ed Sheeran is pretty damn popular in these parts, although that popularity will be tested when he delivers his version of ‘Fairytale of New York’, which has been getting mixed reviews to say the least. Ed will also chat about quitting social media, his love of Ireland and will perform another song or two for good measure.
  • Joe Canning. It’s been an eventful year for one of the biggest names in the GAA, who was named as Hurler of the Year after Galway ended their 29-year wait for an All-Ireland title. Joe will also open up on how both of his parents getting cancer gave him a new sense of perspective and will tell viewers about his humanitarian trip to Syria with UNICEF.
  • Fiona and Tim Tuomey. Fiona and Tim are the parents of 11-year-old Milly, who took her own life weeks after posting a message on Instagram that she was unhappy with her appearance and wanted to die. Fiona and Tim will speak about their terrible tragedy and how they believe we are failing young people with mental health issues.
  • Ireland’s food producers. In the run-up to Christmas, Ryan will be meeting some of the people responsible for providing all the food we’re going to eat over the next few weeks and will also be introduced to some of the feathered friends who will grace the country’s dinner plates.
  • Jason Byrne. The Dublin comedian will be chatting about his vasectomy and its aftermath and will deliver a surprise for Ryan in time for Christmas.
  • Brendan Grace. One of Ireland’s longest-serving comedians, Grace will bring one of his best-known characters, Dublin schoolboy Bottler, to the studio to raise a few laughs.

The Graham Norton Show

  • Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Gwendoline Christie. Apparently, there was some movie released this week and these guys, who starred in it, will be on to chat about it, whatever it is. We jest, of course, it’s a Star Wars special on Graham Norton tonight and if you want to check out an early review of The Last Jedi before seeing what the cast have to say, you can do so here.
  • Sam Smith. The singer will be on to perform a track from his recently released second album, The Thrill of it All.
