You’re going to be hearing an awful lot about Barry Keoghan over the next few years.
Of course, you may well have heard plenty about him already.
Love/Hate fans will immediately identify him as Wayne ‘the cat killer’ while he’s also starred alongside Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson in Trespass Against Us.
As well as that, in 2015, he was named in the Stars of Tomorrow list by Screen International, an honour afforded to Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne in the past.
Barry, as you may know, will appear in Dunkirk - which could be one of the biggest movies of 2017 - in the summer and he’ll also be starring alongside Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman in The Killing of a Sacred Deer, an Irish production in the running for the prestigious Palme D’Or award at this month’s Cannes film festival.

In the piece, Barry references his upbringing in Dublin 1, “the real Dublin”, which he says has “been a big part of everything for me”, while he also talks about auditioning for Dunkirk using a remote control as a gun and boxing in Dublin three times a week.
Remember the name folks, you’re going to be seeing a lot of it from now on.
