Wednesday star Hunter Doohan gave a popular Dublin city restaurant a shout-out during a recent interview with JOE.
Doohan is one of the stars of Evil Dead Burn, the latest entry in the classic horror franchise, which is out in cinemas now.
We were big fans of the sequel, which sees a grieving family (also including Souheila Yacoub) become the target of ancient trickster demons.
Ahead of the release of the movie last week, JOE caught up with Doohan and Yacoub.
During the chat, we noted the strong Irish connections to the Evil Dead franchise. Dublin filmmaker Lee Cronin directed the previous entry in the series - 2023's Evil Dead Rise - and is a producer on the 2026 follow-up.
As Doohan has spent a lot of time in Dublin filming the second and third season of Netflix hit Wednesday, JOE also asked what his experience has been like in the Irish capital.
He told us: "I love it. Yeah, a lot of our crew this season are walking around with Lee Cronin's The Mummy gear on from having worked on that.
"We shot season two [of Wednesday] there as well. And now to return [for season three] has been so fun.
"We have like a lot of the same crew returning, and it's the first time I've ever returned to the same place and had a crew return."
When we asked Doohan if he's had much downtime to explore Dublin, he praised Camden St-based Chinese restaurant Hang Dai.
He told us: "I did the Guinness Storehouse, had to do that. Hang Dai is a restaurant really close to me that I love there.
"We go out plenty in Dublin... There's a lot of good bars to go to.
"That's also the fun part about working there. Everyone's just kind of down to go to the pub on any given night."
Yacoub also noted that her husband was recently in Dublin for a bachelor party.
The pair noted how many stag dos happen in the city, with Doohan noting: "There's always some guy walking down the street with all his bachelor men with him.
"A lot of them, they make groom-to-be wear a dress or something ridiculous thing. It's so funny to watch them walk around."

‘Doubles as a wickedly entertaining and suspenseful mean-and-lean action thriller, and a sly satire.’ Our TV movie pick for tonight (Wednesday, 15 July) is Predator, the 1987 sci-fi action flick from director John McTiernan (Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October). The film follows the soldier of fortune, Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who is secretly hired […]
