Irish star of Sing Street confirmed to be in new Han Solo movie

From Fair City to a galaxy far, far away…

Ian Kenny, who viewers might now as being the big bad bully from hit Irish musical comedy Sing Street, or he used to be TJ in the Irish soap, has been cast in the latest spin-off from the Star Wars universe.

According to Variety, Ian Kenny will be joining Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Woody Harrelson, Michael K. Williams, and Emilia Clarke on the set, while the directors of The Lego Movie and 21/22 Jump Street will be behind the camera.

It is not yet known who Kenny will be playing (duh, like they’d ever let any secrets like that out this early), and we’ll probably be left not knowing for a while as the Han Solo movie isn’t due for release until 25 May 2018.

In the meantime, the internet has been losing its mind because apparently there’s a rumour going around that Han Solo isn’t really even Han Solo’s name, and that the movie will be dealing with where he got his name from.

Bizarre.
