We’re not crying, you’re crying.
You may or may not have heard of him beforehand, but if you were watching the Late Late Show on Friday night, chances are you’re now an admirer of Athlone native Sean William McLoughlin, better known around the world as Jacksepticeye.
In the last five years, Sean’s gaming videos have turned him into a YouTube sensation, earning him millions of subscribers around the world and a fortune sufficient to nab him a spot on Ireland’s top 30 earners under 30 list.

It’s safe to say he charmed the Late Late Show viewers watching at home on Friday night as well as those in the studio audience, none more so than 14-year-old Jane Anne O’Sullivan, who became a little bit emotional on meeting her hero.
Brought up on stage by Ryan Tubridy, Jane Anne asked Jacksepticeye: “What advice would you give me about how to stay positive when I feel overwhelmed?”
While holding her hand, Sean offered Jane Anne some friendly and simple advice, including the phrase to “keep it in the day,” which prompted Jane to give him a big hug in what was a really lovely and touching exchange.
We think there’s something in our eye…
