The Boogeyman is here to stay.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in the room when John Wick was pitched. ‘Ok, so Keanu Reeves is the world’s deadliest assassin but he’s not killing out of some revenge plot for his wife or boss, it’s because of his dog.’

Yep, his dog.

Truth be told, it’s enough of a reason to send anyone down that spiral of pencil-induced death, carnage, and murder, but with John Wick: Chapter 3, AKA John Wick: Parabellum set to be released in 2019, we’ve been treated to a few more details.

Thanks to an interview with Director Chad Stahelski in Entertainment Weekly, we now know that a $14m bounty has been placed on Jonathan’s (said in best Winston voice) head and that Anjelica Huston will be playing “someone who was responsible for [Wick’s] upbringing and his protection”.

Stahelski also said that John Wick: Chapter 3 is “a little bit of an origin story” and that the the body count of Chapter 3 will be “slightly north” of the death toll in Chapter 2.

Stahelski admitted that he would happily make a fourth John Wick film if the audience enjoys this next instalment. “We did the first one and were like, ‘They’re going to laugh at us,’” he says. “This one, I’m already looking for janitorial jobs.”

Aside from this, two dogs. TWO!

John Wick: Chapter 3 hits cinemas on 17 May.
