Jorah Mormont actor Iain Glen confirms very good news about Game of Thrones Season 8

Game of Thrones Season 8

This is going to be box office from start to finish.

Game of Thrones fans have had to make their peace with a huge gap between Season 7 and Season 8, but hints from certain cast members suggest that it could all be worth it in the end.

Most recently, there have been positive hints at what’s to come from Iain Glen, who has played Ser Jorah Mormont on the show since its very beginning,

In an interview with the Express, Glen gave an insight into his own feelings on the final season. According to him, the six scripts for the show’s final season are the best he’s ever read. “The final scripts are really special,” he said.

But while things like quality are subjective, the sheer volume of Game of Thrones we’re set to see in the final season is very pleasing.

“We all sat down for the read-through of six feature-length episodes,” he says. “They took longer to film, cost more, and are more surprising. It was very emotional.”

While fans can’t have been happy to hear that there would only be six episodes in the show’s final season, the fact that we could be set to get six 90-minute episodes definitely makes up for it. After all, six episodes of 90 minutes tallies up as 540 minutes total — the same as 10 episodes of 54 minutes. So really, we’re not losing out on anything at all.

The show’s eighth season is expected to air around April of 2019.
