Hart was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed near Malibu in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart is said to have suffered “major back injuries” in a car crash near Malibu shortly after midnight on Saturday night. According to a California Highway Patrol report, Hart and the driver, Jared Black, sustained major back injuries in the crash and were transported to hospital for treatment. A third passenger in the car, Black’s fiancée Rebecca Broxterman, is not believed to have sustained any substantial injuries. The crash occurred, the report states, when Black lost control of Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda – which he purchased in July – which went off road and rolled off an embankment. https://www.instagram.com/p/BzqBmpnFamu/ Black and Broxterman were trapped in the car at the time of the accident, while Hart managed to get out of the car and request medical attention from his residence nearby. It was determined by patrol officers that Black was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
