Never going to give up writing / About the Late Late Show 🎵
The Late Late Show is back this Friday night with a particularly eclectic line-up.
For one, host Patrick Kielty is rolling out the red carpet for a plethora of Hollywood talent.
Irish Oscar-nominee, star of The Penguin and recent JOE interviewee Colin Farrell will be live in the studio – along with his long-time friend Emma Fogarty.
Emma is Ireland’s longest-surviving person battling the most severe type of agonising skin condition, epidermolysis bullosa (EB) – also known as Butterfly Skin.
Next week, Farrell will run the Dublin City Marathon with Emma to mark her 40th birthday and to raise funds for Debra Ireland.
On top of this, Irish-American acting heavyweight Aidan Quinn (Legends of the Fall, Michael Collins, Practical Magic) will also drop by to talk with Kielty about why he loves coming back to Ireland and taking to the Abbey Theatre stage.
Rounding out the British acting talent appearing on the programme will be Rupert Everett (My Best Friend’s Wedding, Napoleon), who will discuss spending time in the Emerald Isle, “being ghosted by Hollywood and his recent guest appearance in Emily in Paris”.
TV presenter and chart-topping podcaster Vogue Williams will also return to the talk show to chat about her recent tour with Joanne McNally, her new podcast and her pride after her husband Spencer Matthews broke a World Record over the summer.
And last but certainly not least – and we’re not rickrolling readers here – singer Rick Astley will be live in the studio.
He will discuss his rise to fame, returning to the spotlight after his early retirement, the rickrolling phenomenon, and his plans for the future.
Astley will also perform ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ with his big band.
What did we tell you? Eclectic! The Late Late Show is airing on RTÉ One on Friday at 9.35pm.
