Here’s who’s on The Late Late Show tonight

RTÉ One, 9.35pm.

Conor Heneghan

The Late Late Show

A tennis legend, an Irish actor on the cusp of global stardom… and a Mr and Mrs. Quiz.

Martina Navratilova

One of the most famous tennis players of all time, Navratilova won 18 Grand Slam titles over the course of a remarkable career that didn’t finish until she was nearly 50.

She’s also had quite the life off the court and will chat to Ryan about the moment she decided it was time to escape from behind the Iron Curtain, why her first Wimbledon title was bittersweet and the highs and lows of being one of the world’s first professional athletes to come out.

Vanessa Feltz

The subject of a Kevin Myers column about BBC pay that caused something of a storm during the summer, the broadcaster will discuss what it was like to be in the middle of the international outcry that followed.

Tom Vaughan-Lawlor

Vaughan-Lawlor will always be known to a sizeable Irish audience as criminal kingpin Nidge from Love/Hate, but he’s since moved onto bigger and better things, including roles alongside Bryan Cranston and as a supervillain with Benedict Cumberbatch in the next Marvel Avengers movie.

Vaughan-Lawlor will chat to Ryan about that big break, as well as his new movie Maze, playing icons like Charlie Haughey and Padraig Pearse and filming a zombie horror in Croke Park.

Keep an eye out for our chat with him, coming up on The JOE Show on Tuesday 19 September.

Jennifer Zamparelli and Bernard O’Shea

The stars of Bridget & Eamon will put their marriage to the test in a special Mr and Mrs Quiz.

Ruth Fitzmaurice

The world of Ruth Fitzmaurice and her husband Simon was turned upside down when Simon was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2008.

Ruth will discuss how the family have coped since, Simon’s unbending spirit and will to survive and how swimming in the Irish Sea helped her to find her tribe and her own voice.

Plus…

Late Late viewers will get a sneak peek at some of the cherished objects vying to be declared a National Treasure.

Music from…

Hudson Taylor

The brilliant bros, Harry and Alfie, are on The Late Late Show tonight, fresh from their appearance on The JOE Show earlier this week, where they surprised one lucky couple on a very special date, beautifully serenading them with their brand new single, ‘Feel It Again’.

Check out the super video for that toe-tapping tune below, which the lads ingeniously filmed at an empty Electric Picnic 2017, just before the rest of the pumped-up party-goers got there.

Trust us, you’ll be singing this all weekend…
