Here’s who’s on The Late Late Show and Graham Norton this week

Carl Kinsella

The Late Late Show

Tonight’s Late Late Show will feature a very important announcement…

Ahead of tonight’s Late Late Show, RTÉ has commissioned independent research company Behaviour & Attitudes to undertake a comprehensive exit poll, interviewing 3,000 people across Ireland immediately after they have voted on Friday, 25 May.

The results of the YES / NO exit poll result will be announced on Friday night’s The Late Late Show by RTÉ’s David McCullagh and they will also be published simultaneously on RTÉ.ie

There will also be some comic relief on the show as host Ryan Tubridy is joined by comedian Jason Byrne, as well as beloved Irish sketch comedy troupe Après Match.

Actor and writer Emmet Kirwan became one of the voices of his generation last year when his powerful take on the state of the nation Heartbreak went viral. He went on to make waves as part of theatrical sensation RIOT and now he has co-written and starred in a brand new movie Dublin Oldschool which has won favourable comparisons to Trainspotting. He’ll be telling Late Late host Ryan Tubridy what it was like to star in a movie shot in the city he loves.

Author Lorna Byrne, famous for her books about angels, will also be talking with Tubs. She’ll discuss her new book Prayers from the Heart and “give her advice on how best to use prayer to call on God for help. “

Eight-year-old artist Roisin Tansey also makes her Late Late Show return. When she appeared on The Late Late Show last year, she captured the hearts of the nation. She’s back with a very special project to be revealed live on air.

The Late Late Show will also be discussing the murders of Anastasia Kriegel and Jastine Valdez, and Ryan will be joined by Ruth Maxwell — a woman who herself was the victim of a violent attack in Clondalkin in 2016. DNA from her attacker was used to connect him with two earlier crimes. She’ll be sharing her story with the nation.

Musical entertainment will be provided by The High Kings and Emotional Fish.

Over on BBC One, starting at 10:35pm, Graham Norton will host a different kind of line-up. The Corkman will be joined by Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum — the stars of the latest instalment in he Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World 2.

Also on the red couch is actress Thandie Newton, who will be talking about her role in the second season of sci-fi show Westworld.

As for music, Jake Shears will be performing his new track ‘Creep City.’
