The IFTAs are fast approaching and they’ve announced that there will be not one, but two hosts this year.

The 2014 IFTA award ceremony will be hosted by Simon Delaney and Laura Whitmore.

Simon Delaney (pic below) is a veteran of the awards ceremony having hosted it several times before. Whitmore is currently one of the most prominent TV presenters in the UK and both hosts have indicated that they are planning a whole new approach to the show with their producers. The pair are also hoping to add some vibrant new elements to the proceedings this year.

Simon Delaney is equally excited and announced “I’m very honoured to be working with IFTA again in showcasing Irish creative talent and to do so this year with Laura makes it all the more enjoyable – we’re planning a whole different approach!  To be part of an Irish celebration like this, makes me very proud indeed.”
