This is going to be a cracker.
Leeds United might be one of the most emotionally draining football clubs to support.
Depending on your age, you have seen dizzying highs and extremely miserable lows. If you’re in your early 20s and follow the Yorkshire side, it’s probably just the latter.
But their support doesn’t fade. Every week, loads of Irish fans of the club travel over to see their beloved side play, in the hopes they get promoted to where they feel they belong, the Premier League.
And last season, they got painfully close.
In a season that saw their iconic manager Marcelo Bielsa involved in a spying controversy, a match where they literally let their opposition score a goal and everything in between, Leeds fell at the last hurdle.
They lost to Frank Lampard’s Derby County in a play-off semi-final, and to be honest, you could make a documentary about the two teams’ rivalry alone and we would watch it.
And although we’re sure it will be a major part of Take Us Home, the new Leeds United documentary that is coming to Amazon Prime Video, we’d bet it barely scratches the surface.
Take Us Home will be released in August, and we reckon that not only will Leeds fans want to tune in, but football fans in general.
Take a look at the trailer for the six-part series here:
