Martin Landau died in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Actor Martin Landau has passed away at the age of 89.
According to his publicist, Landau died of “unexpected complications” on Saturday during a short spell at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Early in his career, Landau starred in the television series Mission Impossible and had a supporting role in Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest before going on to receive Oscar nominations for Tucker: The Man and His Dream and Woody Allen’s Crimes and Misdemeanours in the late 1980s.
Landau won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood in 1994 and in more recent years, he earned a nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as movie producer Bob Ryan in Entourage.
News of Landau’s passing emerged shortly after it was confirmed that horror director George A. Romero had died at the age of 77 following a “brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer”.
